Online Design
DuBridge Design offers Online Design for those who think their project is too small for the services of a Landscape Architect. Online Design offers an alternative to costly plans without shortcutting the sophistication of a professional design.
What's unique about Online Design is the elimination of travel time, field prep., site measurement and in-field meetings, all of which increase cost. Further, e-mail and phone communication combine to save time and real money.
Here's what we need from you: an accurately measured site plan and inventory of the existing site (we can guide you through this), plenty of pictures from various vantage points and a few conversations – generally speaking it's that simple.
From there we develop the conceptual design. This is the heart and soul of a beautiful garden. Here's where we indulge the time it takes to craft your thoughts and requirements into a custom design that is practical and thematic with subtle complexities that create enduring interest and mystery through time as your garden grows.
We'll send this plan as an attachment, PDF or hardcopy. We are prepared of course to make changes to the design until you're pleased with the outcome. We'll indicate material selection and a general cost estimate for construction within the San Francisco Bay Area.
At this point we can conclude our service or move forward, developing a plan package for city submittal (if needed), bidding and or construction – usually this would include detail callouts and or, specific details and a planting plan. Additional plans such as lighting, drainage, shade structure, outdoor kitchen, or pool house design and detail plans can be added. We've found that contractors use there own strategy when laying out irrigation so typically we won't bother with irrigation plans, relying instead on irrigation notes attached to the planting plan which saves you money.
Online Design is a streamlined approach to design development whose time has come and may be just right for you. Give us a call - we'd be happy to discuss your project.
